Extra-Curricular and Enrichment Clubs

We are extremely proud of the wide range of after school, extra-curricular clubs that we offer our children of all ages, throughout Key Stages 1 and 2. Learning and developing skills and knowledge beyond the school day is something we feel passionately about as we believe this prepares our pupils for life in the ‘real world’.

Being physically active is so important and therefore sports activities feature prominently at Lynch Hill with pupils able to apply to attend a wide range of different sports clubs, both indoor and outdoor, team and individual, across the school year. In KS2, pupils can register to develop their skills even further by attending morning sports clubs, which begin at 8am each morning of the week.

Almost all areas of the curriculum are offered as an after school enrichment club at different points in the academic year so pupils can have the opportunity to broaden their horizons, further develop their subject knowledge and nurture individual talents and skills. Whether they favour Science or perhaps Computing – where children learn programming - or even cookery, where they get to enjoy the fruits of their labour, our pupils benefit from the activities and challenges on offer. It is also an opportunity to explore new talents and discover new hobbies such as sewing, inclusion sports, exploring languages or singing.

Staff generally plan a five week club programme for which a nominal fee is charged.

Every Thursday from 4:30 to 6:00pm, Slough Music Service base themselves at Lynch Hill offering further enrichment clubs. This not only enables children from Lynch Hill but also from other local schools to access extra practice, join the choir or learn a new instrument.
