Class-based Support and Feelings Box

At Lynch Hill we are aware of how important it is in fostering positive relationships with our children in order to support their wellbeing, physical & emotional health.

At the start of every term, we undertake a ‘Resilience and Engagement Scale and Toolkit (REST)’ in order to assess our children’s level of resilience and emotional wellbeing. The outcome of this score supports the class teacher to undertake class-based interventions to increase the children’s resilience and support good emotional wellbeing.

In every classroom we have a ‘Feelings Box’. Our children are encouraged to use this box regularly to record both positive and negative feelings they might be experiencing. Class teachers read these daily enabling them to identify children who may need their support in having a positive day.
