Nurture
At Lynch Hill we run a nurture group for students in Year 1 who may need help with socialising, emotional regulation and resilience, which may affect their learning and relationships. Between the adults in the group, we model nurturing and supportive behaviour.
We provide fun and creative activities to give children the tools to use these behaviours themselves and with their peers. These can include;
- Role play - acting out scenes and situations
- Turn-taking games - learning to share and deal with winning / losing
- Eating together- teaching hygiene, healthy eating habits and helping to serve / clear away
- Arts and crafts - getting creative with emotion-based activities
- Plus many more!
Our aim is to make sure every child has access to learning and self-confidence by breaking down any barriers that may stand in their way.
